We Get Weather A La Carte!
Washington DC Area April 24,, 2023
The Climate Is The Recipe For The Earth That We Have Stirred In A Large Blender. As Ingredients, We Used The Spheres Surround Us.
Make no mistake, WE stirred the pot. Imagine a large blender into which we put the following ingredients: Atmosphere, Cryosphere, Hydrosphere, Lithosphere, and Pedosphere, stir well, and as a result, we get a weather à la carte that determines our climate.
1.) The Atmosphere – has various gases, with nitrogen (~78%) and oxygen (~21%) being the two most abundant. Other gases include argon, carbon dioxide, neon, helium, and hydrogen. The lowest layer, the troposphere, is where weather occurs and contains most of the gases. Above is the stratosphere, which contains the ozone layer (just 0.12 to 0.24 inches thick) that protects the Earth from 98% harmful ultraviolet radiation. The atmosphere is important for the Earth’s temperature and provides the air that we need to breathe and protects us also from bombarding high-energy radiation originating from stars. Without the shielding capacity of the atmosphere and providing a comfortable pressure for humans, we could not live on Earth. Don’t mess with it.
2.) The Cryosphere – is considered of frozen water in the form of snow, ice, and permafrost, including the polar ice caps, glaciers, ice shelves, sea ice, and frozen ground. The cryosphere has an important role in regulating the Earth’s climate and sea level, and it provides a habitat for a variety of species adapted to living in cold environments. However, the cryosphere can change rapidly due to global warming, and its loss can have significant impacts on ecosystems around the world.
3.) The Hydrosphere – refers to all of the water on or near the Earth’s surface., including all of the water in oceans, rivers, lakes, groundwater, and the atmosphere in the form of water vapor. Water is an essential part of life, and the hydrosphere provides habitats for countless aquatic species, including fish, whales, and plankton. Without the hydrosphere, Earth’s essential ecosystems could not be supported.
4.) The Lithosphere – refers to the solid outermost layer of the Earth, including the crust and the uppermost part of the mantle. It consists of rocks and minerals and is divided into tectonic plates that are in constant motion due to the movements of the underlying molten mantle. The lithosphere ranges in thickness from about 6 to 124 miles, with the thickest parts found beneath mountain ranges. The lithosphere with its geology is essential for our life on Earth.
5.) The Pedosphere – is the outermost layer of the Earth’s crust, which includes all the soils on the planet. It is a dynamic system composed of mineral particles, organic matter, water, air, and living organisms that interact with each other and with other components of the Earth system. The pedosphere plays a vital role in supporting life on Earth by providing nutrients, water, and habitat for plants and other organisms, as well as serving as a filter for contaminants and a regulator of the Earth’s climate. Soil scientists study the pedosphere to understand its properties, processes, and functions, and to develop sustainable land management practices that can support food production, biodiversity conservation, and environmental protection.
Our existing recipe mixture has become too spicy. We need to create a more resourceful mixture, use adjusted amounts of each ingredient, and cook it slower to get the best sustainable taste.
In the past, too many chefs around the world have stirred the pot. We need an Executive Chef to guide the Sous-Chefs to provide the right ingredients for each country.
As a world society, we need to apply swarm intelligence, which is already successfully applied in nature among a variety of species, for example, ants, fish, and birds. This way, we reach the highest coordinated efficiency around the globe.
Nature has given us the answer, we just have to implement it. Politicians, do what you promised under oath, which is to protect your country. Stop debating partisan self-interest, elect the Executive Chef, and provide the resources to get it started. Heroes are made by action, not by debating.
On the horizon will arise a new future that provides sustainable living conditions and offers a magnificent lifestyle like never experienced before.
